Major Flag Football – Season Info & FAQ
If you registered and received a confirmation email and payment receipt, you are in. The league will contact everyone at the Scrimmage & Uniform Handout. Please check this page before emailing.
Season Overview
Scrimmage & Uniform Handout (target mid-March): One week before games begin. Exact date/time/site will be posted once fields are confirmed.
- Uniform distribution, quick team meeting, and short scrimmages.
- Referee training happens on the same day.
Game Days: Saturdays. Younger league on smaller fields every hour; older league on the larger field every hour (staggered start).

The website schedule is always the official version.
Registration & Teams
- Deadlines: Registration closes four days before Scrimmage Day. No late signups.
- Friend/Coach Requests: Enter your requests in the registration form. We honor requests whenever possible. No need to email.
- Rosters: Coaches receive rosters about one week before the scrimmage.
- Team Short a Player? We monitor team sizes and may add players to balance rosters if needed.
If you received a confirmation email + bank charge, you are registered—no follow-up needed.
Schedules
Schedules are posted on the website and updated there if changes are required. Please refer to the site, not older emails or screenshots.
- Reschedule Requests: Parents should contact their coach. Coaches can coordinate with the opposing coach and then email the league with a proposed time.
- Rescheduled games can typically run between the first and last posted game slots for that day (younger and older leagues run on staggered hours).
Uniforms & Equipment
- Provided by League: Jersey + shorts, flags, and two footballs per team (coach pick-up at scrimmage).
- Bring Each Week: Water and cleats (or athletic shoes if cleats are unavailable).
- Size Swaps: Limited swaps may be available at scrimmage. After that, coordinate with your coach.
Coaches
- Coaches communicate directly with their teams regarding practice times and locations.
- Coaches may start practices before scrimmage at their discretion.
- If a coaching spot opens, parents may volunteer by emailing the league.
Officials & Volunteers
- Referees: Paid role, training provided. Typical Saturdays, hourly pay.
- Volunteers: Help with uniform handouts, scorekeeping, and setup on scrimmage day and game days.

Rules of Play
- Younger League: 7-on-7 (coach is the quarterback and counts as the 7th offensive player).
- Older League: 6-on-6.
- Center Eligible: The center is an eligible receiver.
- We follow a simplified version of NFL FLAG; see our rulebook page for specifics.
Communication Policy
- Most answers are on this page, the rulebook, or the posted schedules.
- Parents should contact their coach first for team-specific questions.
- Email the league only if your coach cannot assist or for league-level issues.
Clear communication helps us keep the league running smoothly for everyone.
Costs & Fundraising
- Registration covers uniforms and league operations.
- Fundraisers (hoodies, concessions) may appear during the season to help cover extras.

Flag Football
5 on 5 up to 7 on 7 depending on age. Younger ages play with more players.
Ages K-2nd the parent coach will play quarterback
Coaches are volunteer parents.
Games take place on Saturdays and practices are on week days which are selected by the coach. Teams can elect to practice once or twice a week.
The league will keep score at games and will record wins and losses. Every team will play a championship game based on their standing for the final game of the season.
Cheerleading
One practice and one halftime performance/cheering at a football game per week.
Squads are led by a parent volunteer coach(es).
Cheer uniform included. Uniforms include an athletic tank top and skirt, a bow, and a pair of pom poms.
No vertical stunts allowed. Cheerleading in this league focuses on coordinated routines and dancing.
Practices and games on fields in the Skyline and Olympus boundaries.
Coaches can provide their own speaker or coaches can rent a speaker from the league for a refundable $100 fee which is returned to the coach if the speaker is returned in good condition at the end of the season.
Music in practice and at games must be age/family appropriate
